A friend of mine said to me the other day, "Remember that time we went to that beach party up near San Francisco... that was dope!". Yep, that's what he said. So I got to remembering the near magical night turning into the most beatiful morning. Freezing my butt off near the fire pit, snuggling up with my girl, watching the morning sun hit the ocean water, feeling the vibe from the masses dancing on the sand and listening to the most hypnotic sounds of Goa coming from the wall of speakers. Wow, that was one hell of party.

So that is how I came up with my new mix, "Awoken Sun". I tried to recapture the energy at the specific moment when the sun first broke across the Pacific Ocean on that frosty winter morning. I gotta say, I wish I had more time to tell the story... but I guess that will have to wait for the next mix.
